This four (4) part series of professional development sessions is open to all Humanities teachers, coaches, and aspiring educators in college prep programs. Humanities teachers teach: History, Civics, Government, Economics, or center non-fiction in their ELA courses. Dates for the Series: Sept. 23rd, Oct. 21st, Nov. 11th, & Dec. 9th Time: Each session will run from 9:00am-2:00pm Participants will receive session materials, two (2) texts to support the speakers on various subjects dealing with the challenges of teaching history for social justice. Lunch will be provided. Participation in all four (4) events is expected. Participants that attend all four will receive an additional book of their choice. **Please note we are limiting this series to no more than four (4) individuals from the same school. We want to ensure equal availability to all who are interested in participation. We appreciate your understanding.
